Following the principles of Vision & Change

The Partnership for Undergraduate Life Sciences Education (PULSE) helps life sciences departments align with national reform initiatives, particularly Vision and Change, so that they can develop inclusive, student-centered, evidence-based teaching and learning in order to cultivate the development of scientists who reflect the diversity of American society.

A recommendation in Vision and Change: A Call to Action was to address one stumbling block in the process of the transformation of undergraduate biology education, the substantial time and energy commitment that an educator must make in order to learn and produce evidence-based curricula, by creating a peer-reviewed, open access journal of student-centered biology education resources.

CourseSource is an open-access journal of peer-reviewed teaching resources for college biological science courses. A key feature of CourseSource is the alignment of articles with learning goals and objectives that were developed by professional society partners, along with alignment with the concepts and competencies in Vision and Change.
